1. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide through forms, including name, display name, email, social profile links, wallet address, country, state or province, skills, application answers, task URLs, and compliance confirmations.
2. Device and Usage Information
Hosting, security, analytics, and backend providers may process technical information such as browser type, referring page, approximate request time, and network metadata. When configured, the backend stores request IP addresses only as salted hashes for abuse prevention.
3. Local Storage
Some site features, such as My America Map, quiz progress, saved travel ideas, and other interactive tools, may store progress on your own device using browser storage. If you create an account or log in, selected progress such as map stamps and quiz results may also sync to your account. Local device data may be cleared from your browser settings.
3A. Anonymous Website Analytics
Greatest Nation uses its existing hosting and database systems to measure website activity without adding another analytics provider. When enabled, the site records page views, visits, approximate visitors, navigation and button actions, outbound links, saves, shares, downloads, searches, repeated zero result searches, form funnel steps, page engagement, scroll depth, relative click position, page performance, and privacy safe error keys.
Reports may include the page or approved content identifier, referrer domain, campaign labels, device category, operating system family, browser family, screen size group, approximate country and region, local hour, and time zone offset. Country and region are approximate. Greatest Nation does not store the raw IP address, full user agent, exact location, account identity, form contents, passwords, private notes, page text, screen recording, or session replay in the website analytics tables.
A random browser identifier rotates after 30 days. A separate session identifier ends with the browser tab session. The server stores only protected hashes of those identifiers. Raw event records are removed after 90 days. Anonymous daily report totals are removed after 25 months. Search phrases that resemble an email address, phone number, or web address are rejected, and phrases appear in reports only after at least five matching searches.
Website analytics are disabled when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. You can also turn them off below. All site features continue to work when analytics are off.

3B. Anonymous Share Insights and Pass the Torch
Share Studio keeps optional action counts on your device. When anonymous share insights are enabled, a completed native share handoff, copied link, fallback copy, or downloaded share image may also add one action to a daily aggregate. The aggregate contains only a curated content key, action type, card template, image format, and UTC day. Greatest Nation does not place your caption, name, account ID, source text, destination URL, referrer, contact list, cookie, IP derived identifier, or full user agent in the social metrics tables.
Categories appear in the public Community Share Pulse only after at least five actions. These totals describe actions, not completed social posts, reach, endorsements, or unique people. Anonymous insights are disabled when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, and you can turn them off below at any time.
Pass the Torch stores a random public link code, a curated content key, the chain relationship, creation time, an idempotency hash used to prevent repeat counting, and an aggregate continuation count. It does not require an account or store sender and recipient names. Opening or previewing a Torch link does not change the count; only an explicit Continue action does. “Continuations” are actions, not verified unique people.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to operate the site, review ambassador applications, process task submissions, prevent fraud and spam, maintain leaderboards and rewards records, respond to inquiries, improve site features, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing
We may share information with service providers that host, secure, process, or support the site. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or with your permission.
6. Public Information
Social posts, public usernames, leaderboard names, badges, submitted public URLs, and community contributions may be visible or reshared if you participate in public facing programs.
7. Third Party Services
Links to Moonshot, Solana explorers, America250 resources, social platforms, and other external sites are governed by those services' privacy policies and terms. We do not control third party platforms.
8. Data Retention
Active account and private progress data are kept while the account is active. Expired sessions are removed after 30 days, rate limit records after 24 hours, routine security events and raw website analytics after 90 days, anonymous daily website analytics after 25 months, and completed export or deletion job records after 30 days. Certain consent, administrator audit, legal, fraud prevention, and program integrity records may be retained longer and pseudonymized after account deletion.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no system is perfectly secure. Never submit passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or sensitive wallet credentials through Greatest Nation forms.
10. Children
The ambassador program is only for people at least 18 years old. The general site is not designed to collect personal information from children.
11. Your Choices
Signed in members can download their personal data or permanently delete their account from Account settings. Deletion revokes active sessions and erases synced private data; records that must be retained for legal, security, or program integrity reasons are stripped of direct identifiers where lawful.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the site, backend, and ambassador program evolve. Material updates will be reflected by the updated date above.
